These Panzerspahwagen (or armoured scout wagons) were produced in limited
numbers from 1944. They were intended to be coupled together in trains of 12
wagons. With 20mm of armour, these weighed about 18 tons each, depending on
armament. I have modelled the artillery wagon (fitted with a Panzer III Ausf
N turret) and the infantry wagon (fitted with an octagonal turret).
Photographs of both types are shown below.
These models are un-powered, but are fitted with metal axles and Marklin
couplers. The models are only 30mm long over the buffers.
